Overview
Osprey Talent Solutions is supporting a national security partner seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Software Engineer to lead technical delivery within a Palantir Foundry environment supporting Army Vantage operational analytics.
This role serves as the technical lead responsible for architecture, CI/CD implementation, and the delivery of production-ready dashboards and data workflows that support force management and readiness decision-making.
You will work directly with government stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver scalable, mission-critical analytics capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines within Army Vantage (Palantir Foundry), including build, test, deployment, and environment promotion workflows
- Develop and iterate on analytical dashboards using Foundry’s Workshop or Slate application layer
- Define and enforce automated testing, validation frameworks, and release confidence standards
- Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting aligned to platform architecture and development patterns
- Implement governed metrics and reusable data logic aligned to platform ontology models
- Collaborate with government stakeholders and integration partners to align technical architecture and deployment processes
- Participate in agile development cycles including planning, standups, reviews, and demonstrations
- Deliver technical documentation, configuration baselines, and operational runbooks
- Troubleshoot defects and deliver ongoing enhancements to maintain system performance
- Mentor engineers through code reviews and technical guidance
Qualifications
- Deep hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry, including pipelines, Workshop or Slate, and ontology configuration
- Approximately eight or more years of software engineering or systems integration experience
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in secure or government environments
- Proficiency with Python, TypeScript, or Java within data platform environments
- Experience supporting DoD or classified environments
- Familiarity with Army Vantage, GFIM, force management, or readiness data domains is a plus
- Ability to own full lifecycle delivery from architecture through deployment
